The Language Factory - Translating Quality since 1992

Our translators

The high quality of our translators forms the backbone of our translation service. Both our in-house and freelance translators are all graduate linguists who are not only experts in translation but are also specialists in their own chosen translation field.

For example, to be a Spanish translator it is not enough to be an expert in your own mother tongue plus another language. Our minimum requirements are a degree in translation from an approved university, a specialist translation field such as medicine or IT and over five years experience as a full-time translator. Ideally translators need to be a member of the recognized translators' association in their country (e.g. the Institute of Translating and Interpreting, ITI, or the Institute of Linguists, IOL, are the recognized UK translators' associations).

If you are a freelance translator, you are welcome to register your interest in working for The Language Factory if you meet our minimum requirements. You will need to provide references and submit to a translation test in addition to informing us about your language combinations and translation abilities.
